| A quiet stretch of weather is expected, with clearing skies this evening followed by increasing clouds late tonight into early Thursday as a weak disturbance passes. A slight chance of light rain is possible mainly across northeastern areas late tonight into Thursday morning, but any precipitation should be minimal. Skies clear again Thursday afternoon, with temperatures rebounding from morning lows in the 30s to near 40 into the upper 50s to mid and upper 60s. A notable warmup arrives late in the week and continues into the weekend, with temperatures climbing to around or above 70 degrees Friday and Saturday, and possibly nearing 80 degrees in southern areas by late weekend. Conditions will remain mostly dry, aside from a low chance of showers Sunday into Sunday night with a passing front. A brief cooldown to near normal is expected early next week, but warmer-than-normal temperatures are likely to return again toward the middle of next week. |
