| Rain chances return tonight and will stick around through much of the upcoming week, with occasional showers and a few thunderstorms possible at times. While a stray storm could occur as early as Monday, widespread severe weather is not expected early in the week. Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm, near record possible at times, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and lower to middle 80s. Late Tuesday into Wednesday will bring a stronger system with a greater chance for showers and thunderstorms. A few strong to severe storms will be possible, especially across western portions of the region, along with locally heavy rainfall. Additional rain chances may linger into Thursday as warm and humid conditions continue. |
