A weak storm system will move across the region New Year's Eve carrying with it light snow to portions of central Indiana. The snow is expected to develop late in the afternoon, after 3 pm, before ending around 12 AM on New Years. Minor accumulations up to 0.5 inch are possible along I-74 corridor including the Indy Metro Area, with over 1 inch of snow accumulation expected north of a line from Lafayette to New Castle. If you have plans to go out for New Year's Eve, make sure to account for some potential for slick spots on untreated roads.
